Artist's Comments

"The Assassin King" was painted for a school project. We had to design stamps based on anything we wanted, really, as long as it was well-known and could possibly be printed as a US Postage Stamp. Hypothetically, our stamps would be used as a sort of promotion for an upcoming event or new product, ie: the Olympics, maybe the anniversary of something or someone, etc.

Since I am a big fan of the Symphony of Ages Series by Elizabeth Haydon, and her newest edition to the series comes out in October, I decided to do a series of stamps for that. NOTE: These are strictly for educational purposes only. They will not be sold, or used in anything other than for my portfolio. DO NOT BY ANY MEANS TAKE THESE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.

Each stamp represents each of the books in the current series.
This one is the upcoming sixth book, "The Assassin King". Naturally, I chose Achmed as the character to represent the book, because I figured it was about him. 9.9 (For those of you familiar with the series.)

The first thing I though when I saw your Avatar I thought "cool, assasin/ninja this looks really promising!" And I have to say WoA! cool picture! really great coloured! :D
The head part looks espessally good, since you see the details eventhough he is masked! I'm a big fan of ninjas so this picture is defently a favorite! :ninja:

yay! Achmed is so awesome! He is my fav from the series... anyways, I like your rendition of him. A fitting pose. I love how the light blends into the night sky. :)

He's my favorite character in the series, too! I can't wait for Assassin King to come out. It was supposed to have been out already, but Tor moved it back to November 2006!!! That really, really sucks. :(
